$195 is the levers and linkage setup. Not the rails.

Just make sure if you weld and regrind that the bores in the x-case don't get scored from out-of-round welds. That might make it worse. It's probably pretty easy to find a 205 in a wrecking yard and take the rails out or to just buy some from ORD. The only cost to call them for the price is for the phone.

Welding it up and regrinding should work. I have done a few as well. I never ground off too much tho. Take your time and be careful. I did an article on it here http://www.4x4mecca.com/forum/vbarticles.php?do=article&articleid=32 its a cleaned up version of the article I did on pirate.

I ground a teensy bit too much as well. I can put them in separate ranges, but I've never come close to doing it. Not that big of a deal unless I suppose you were to let someone else drive your rig without you.

Think of it as an excellent security system. Put it in 4wd with the front and rear in different ranges when you park.
