Hey everyone! The latest news here at the shop is that we've just done a major buy-in with JL Audio! I've always enjoyed creating and installing car audio stuff (did a couple competition installs in what seems so long ago that it feels like a past life!) - and am stoked to announce that I will be doing it again!!! After listening to a TON of the latest and greatest products on the market - I have settled on two MAIN suppliers - JL Audio and Alpine. I have gone direct with JL, and have a distributor set up now for Alpine as well (although I have access to many others too - like Rockford Fosgate, Soundstream, Kenwood, JVC, Pioneer, etc...)

SO, altough I cannot advertise and sell directly off my website with JL, if you PM me, I can get you prices - and I AM a true Authorized JL Dealer now!! Woo Hoo!

...some of you may ask why I am sticking mainly to JL Audio - and I want to tell everyone that I have now listened to these new JL component speakers next to big name brands like Focal, MB Quart, etc... and I can honestly say these new JLs actually sound better - better staging, better clarity, better true reproduction of sound - than those priced much, much higher! So right now in this industry, I can't find a better "bang for your buck" - so to speak. And as for subwoofers, JL has always been top notch! The W1's thru W7's have always been a leader in sound quality and sound output, and now is no different. The most exciting thing is the release of their new WX subs - super competitively priced, and highly efficient. They are only rated at 200W each, but will produce more sound output at that 200W than any other out there! So for a lower powered system, they seem to be the best there is. I haven't had the opportunity to listen to them in a nice, quiet, well set up car as of yet so I can't comment specifically on sound quality, but being JL I'm sure they won't disappoint!

Check out the JL website at: mobile.JLaudio.com for part numbers and their full line of products, and let me know what you'd like pricing on!
Also, check out www.Alpine-USA.com for Alpine's products too!

As always - Thanks for checking us out - We really do appreciate everyone here on the forums!!

Cool man, we sell both brands at my shop. Im a huge fan of JL anything and Alpines newest receiver line up is sick! Good luck in the audio business man! I did an install into an 09 dodge ram power wagon last week with front ZRs, rear C5s and a 900/6 HD. The head unit was a avic-910 though. But it was by far the best sounding system I have installed in a long time. Absolutely NO distortion at any volume. Oh yea and W6 sub under the rear seat from JL.

Sweet! Glad to hear positive feedback! We are currently working on a demo truck- 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with C2's all the way around, Alpine CDA-117, HD 900/6, and a custom fiberglass box that will house 2 JL 10's and the amp under the rear seats. The main system is up and running as of tonight, and the box needs just a little more work before it's done. Here's a pic of the box:
