Has anyone done a two tone color scheme for there interior. Im not a fan of the all red so I painted the dash grey and was gong to get new door panels to match. Think it will look ok? Lets see your work.

I think tan everything but the painted parts would look pretty good in that interior. But please for the love of all that is good don't paint it all black, I seriously dislike black interiors with a passion.

Nope. No black here. Ther interior is too clean to go and ruin it. Just a slight change to get rid of those idiotic carniverous holes in the door panels. WHY??

I don`t have any pics right now, can get some tomorrow f you`d like. My Burb has a red dash, with tan interior, I like it. The grey dash looks nice too though.

I like the idea. I would go a little darker on the gray though. The red feels heavy on the bottom in comparison to the light gray color IMHO.

Well it was just a can of the interior paint from LMC. So, not sure if I can get it darker. You are right though, darker might be better.

If you are commited to grey then how about doing the door panels to match the dash and the seats in a grey velour with red welt. 86 the maroon. That belongs on pimp mobiles. Then the carpet in a nice dark grey. to accent the door panels and the dash. This way the onlr red you have is more of that fire engine red which IMO is more palatable then maroon/bergundy

You can always go to autozone and buy the diff colors of interior paint. Painted the interior of my gf's 89 a black & dark gray 2 tone. Dont have any pics or I would post for you.

Beautiful truck though, my next truck purchase will be a c/k dually, always loved em.....I have a disease me thinks....

I think Im shooting for that in the long run. Ya the maroon is not a good mix with the paint. I'm hoping to sometime run across a Grey CC or suburban to rob the carpet out of. Would burbans be the same as CC's? of course I would only take the front half.

Sorry for the delay, here`s a couple.

Thanks guys. Real clean. Would the carpet be the same from a burban to fit a crew cab. Atleast the front part from the burban.

You can get a brand new carpet kit from Classic Parts for your crew cab for $189. For that silly cheap, it's a no brainer.:thumb: I just did my '81 crew and it is GREAT having brand new carpet.
