Hi! I want to replace my 14bsf (8 lug - 7 leaf) from my Suburban V2500, with a 14bff from a Pick-up V3500 (8 lug). So, I ask you: can I use the U-bolts from 14bsf, on 14bff, or I need different U-bolts?
Thank you! Mihai.

Something tells me he'll have a hard time finding u-bolts in Romania, and probably not for a decent price. Maybe so, I'm no expert on Romania.

I bolt/unbolt my wheels pretty regularly, don't replace wheelstuds, not sure why the u-bolts can't be reused. (shh, I did, they've only lasted 30 or so years, 6 or so that I've owned my truck, and I check them regularly just because) I suspect whether it's said or not, a whole lot of us have reused our u-bolts and don't have problems. They aren't torque to yield.

There are a few posts on here regarding reusing u-bolts, read them and decide for yourself what is acceptable. I re-used jsut about every other fastener on the truck, what are 8 more? :)

BTW, I'm not posting this to turn it into a thread about reusing u-bolts. As I said, it's been discussed on this board, if you want to read about it, search for, and read them. A couple easily found have over 10 responses.

Tanx for answers! ;) One of the problems with american cars parts in Romania, is time!!! All the parts witch I decide to replace them - and there is a lot of, I ordered in USA, from LMC-Trucks, or Summit Racing. They have decent prices, but sometimes, for some parts, shipping is really expensive... and arriving time is about 3 - 4 weeks... :(
I put that question, not because I have doubts about reusing U-bolts, I ask that because I want to know if that two axles use same type of U-bolts.
Another problem can be the price; for example: a chrome side mirror, from LMC, is approx. $26 on catalog, shipping approx. $20 and custom taxes approx. $17 per piece. So, the final price is approx. $63. Same mirror from a local dealer, with all taxes, is approx. $393!!! :eek1: For a tail light I paid approx. $60, from USA and local dealer ask for same tail light approx. $225!!! :eek1: In that case, is better to buy it by myself, directly from USA... :waytogo:
