nice - thanks! I actually have a OBD1 to usb cord with the resistor to short terminals somewhere. Doubt there is a fuel pressure issue as its been measured several times recently... however, i have a stainless shrader to install as a permanent test port -will be doing that soon and triple check that nothing has changed.Couple of ideas...sounds like fuel pressure is your problem now. Could be related to an exhaust leak, though, and the 02 sensor reading too much O2 in the exhaust and compensating. Or, you could have clogged the exhaust with your broken muffler/cat parts.
Have you tried hooking up to the ALDL port and watching the data stream when it's bucking? Might give you some insight. I have the cord to hook it to the computer, not sure where it is, but if you need one, I can probably find it and loan it to you....
yeah - Mary Nichols shows up in your bedroom while you are asleep if you do that here... he/she is the most powerful unelected and un-fire-able person in the US??? terrifying.Sounds like a baffle has broken loose inside the muffler and wants to lay in the airflow path. I've seen it before. Sometimes you can bang on the muffler and hear the part rattling around. Not much choice but to replace the muffler. If you're really cheap and have time on your hands you could cut the muffler open and re-affix the culprit part and weld it back together. Or if it's the cat, open the piping and break/remove all the cat guts.
next chance for them to rupture my fuel tank with nitrogen pressure coming in 3 months! so yeah, I need to keep it compliant for the smog nazisOnly at the next bi annual emissions inspection.
No post O2 so comfuser would never know.
Exhaust leaks in front of the O2 is a problem. Throw fuel mixture off and allow O2 sensors to cool off.
