Not so much a joke more of a stereo type. Every time I have been to Kingman I got out as fast as I could. Seems to be a different type of people that live their that generally seem like they are behind.

I saw that first (red) rig on Top Gear - the British one. It is a BEAST and it's huge. I kinda dig how the spare tire hub looks like a Biohazard sign....ummm, hang on....I gotta go to the garage and work on something.....

With his attention to detail, I'd just love to see how the two frames were mated together.
they were actually professionaly made
I've seen 2 others in my many years of searching for odd cars. 1 was real nice, and yellow with sripes. Kinda cool when complete. guy had a link to the builder. Totaly fricken impractical and still a giant wtf though.

western hauler if i recall was the style name givin to the van trucks .
also that one in pic is a home made. i hav seen the real thing and thay were not full length van body but cut off half way and then drw box added to them and full custom conversion inside.
i would almost bet he would have it bolted or plug in trailer hitch style mated

Now if it was a swivel hitch that thing could be a crawler
No sure where this goes, but the kids shoe hanging from the bumper befuddles me.
i made a hangmans rope 1 time and put it on a teddy bear and hung it from my old boss's truck hitch . he drove around for weeks and knew it was there.
