Well here we go again with you spewing your crap.
I'd hardly call your truck one of the nicest with 20 year old axle u joints and chrome diff covers just because it has nice wheels, too much lift, and boggers covered with armor all.
Along with thousands of dollars invested in your truck you don't understand at all what fourwheeling is all about or even what it is in its simplist sense of the word as the rest of the members here may use it.
You, "use" your truck but never at all like any of us do. None of us really want to trash our rigs but it's about enjoying a sport that you have little to no experience in--just a truck that is built somewhat similarly to those that actually 'wheel.
Yes there are nice rigs that actually go off road. The still have trial rash. Dents might not be part of everyone's fourwheeling, but scratches are absolutely unavoidable and are to be expected.
I don't have the time to try to explain this to you but I think you should understand this by now. Those of us who 'wheel don't intentionally want to destroy a good truck. We're just enjoying our sport and sometimes that comes with the territory.
The reason I'm adding a bunch of armor to my rig is to try to protect the sheetmetal as much as possible. Unfortunately to anyone who's ever been on a trail anything like what is above, you realize this is almost an endless battle, but one that is worth fighting if you like wheeling a fullsize, full bodied machine.

I know that I don't want to drive a beat up ugly piece of sh!t everyday. Thats for sure! /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif You said it once Tim and now I believe you..."you can't have a nice truck and a wheeler in one." I didn't believe it at the time but now I do because I can see that if you take it out enough threw obsticles besides mud than it will eventually wind up hacked, beat, broken and a truggy. I decided a long time ago, with only being able to afford 1 vehicle, that having something nice and cherried out that I had to drive everyday was much more important than enjoying a beater on the weekends and driving it all week. You criticize me for that? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif I don't care if you don't like the heigth of my K5 or the rims that I have. I wasn't thinking "what would Tim like" when I was buying parts. /forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif I understand fourwheeling more than you think, I understand that damage goes hand in hand with hardcore wheeling and I was just asking him that before he got into obstacles that would risk body damage if he was OK with the bi product of hard "on the rocks" wheeling. No Tim, I don't wheel mine hard and honestly I don't even go out with my old muddin' buddies anymore, I am bored with wheeling and don't want to tear sh!t up anymore. Like I said I prefer a nice K5. You may consider a nice K5 one with hacked fenders, huge tires on no lift, dents, scratches, black steelies...the wheeling works. Thats nice, to me thats just a weekend wheeler....A nice truck to me is one that is well taken care of and is cherrried out. Even better if it's restored.
