I got a front hoop from a member here. It's to begin my cage with the rear rollbar. Problem is, the bar goes through the dash and up against the glass. Not looking to do that. Can I unbend (if even possible) the bends to get it to follow the sides of the dash, in front of the dash? 2" DOM

thanks:waytogo:

Short answer would be no. The outer part of each bend is stretched, so to really unbend it you'd need to find a way to "un-stretch" the steel. Best of luck with that...

Cut the forward bars off and start over. Once a tube is bent trying to "unbend" it will be a disaster waiting for a place to happen.

Through the dash is better anyways...

Unless you like smashing your knees into cage bars all the time.

I'm right there with you guys, through the dash would be better. BUT I've been working on this damn truck for a while now and just recently got a victory!!!! Dash, gauges, and steering column are finally all in, bolted, aligned, and there for finished!!! Seriously, I need something finished....... to also stay finished too.

I may use the hoop for rear of the blazer, unsure.

Well it shouldn't take long to remove them again :haha:

I know what you mean on the staying finished part but in all honostly I think it would be very much worth the time and effort to sink it into the dash.
