Hey doug
I finally finished, they tried to stop me but they couldnt. I'm now a full electronics engineering technology graduate. i got fired from COX, i was earning a lot more then others around me and i was only working part time, so i was sort of the odd man out. i didnt mind leaving at the time though becasue i was getting tired of doing the same thing over and over again. and i couldnt switch jobs becasue i was still going to school so now i'm trying to get something going but i'm not having much luck /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I've lived in Michigan, California, Florida, New York, Conneticut, Washington, Hawaii, Guam, Texas, and I have spent time in most of the other states. I have been in Arizona for 20 years last Feburary. I like it. Good people and good economy. I hike, hunt, scuba, ski, 4-wheel, motorcycle - there is always a place to get out of the heat, or get into the snow or water in less than a days drive. My opinion.

Glad to hear you graduated bud...job markets seem to suck as of late. I got lucky when we moved up here to junction as i didn't loose any money. Have you tried US Worst...err Qwest...when i used to work on there rigs they were constantly looking for help....

Mark...i hate reading these posts...as truth be told i miss az...especially all my friends...it sux as all i have done since i moved is work my ass off...and family buisness with no time to do anything else....if all my az buddies were here...and you all should know who you are it would truely be paradise...one thing i miss is sittin on the trail back into the old tip top silver mine just past predator on a rainy day....nothing like the beauty of the mist and fog in the boulder strewn mountains....and the smell of the cactus and mesquite mingling with the rain...i my luck holds out...i allways end up back in good ol az...course its a prospect i don't look forward to as i would be single if i tried that manuever...lol.

Be done to visit in sept boys...

Well Doug, we miss you being here. I am tempted to tell people that AZ is a crappy place to live just so they won't come. The west side exceeded the east side in % of housing starts for the first time ever this last spring. There are stores going up on every corner for miles around where we live, the school district where my wife teaches is adding a new elementary school EVERY YEAR. I can't count the new developments going up between where I work and live (let alone counting the houses going up). We live on a hill just east of the AFB and I can see the new Coyotes Arena going up, AND the new Cardinals Arena construction site.

But miss ONE house payment, and you are the biggest dirtbag ever. The amount of disrespect is unbelievable. I'm not a deadbeat, I'm just unemployed... If you look at my work history it is obvious that I a never out of work for long, and logic should tell you that I will make more than enough money in the next 6 months to make two housepayments if I wanted to. But man, once you don't have that big income anymore, you're dirt.

I've had a lot of help from friends and family, and even the local community. Help I won't forget about, nor will I forget who turned their backs on me because I was late on one single payment...

Been there...and it sucks. You have my sympathy. I hated the phone calls and the outright humiliation. You would think it would be in the banks best interest to treat you with a modicum of respect and have a 'longer' view. Instead I felt as if I was dealing with a threat and the view they took was such a sort term view...

All they saw was a missed payment, and nothing I said changed their attitude towards me until I was finally able to catch up. I can honestly say I have never been made to feel so 'small' in my life.

Fortunately being unemployed is usually a very temporary problem and it did get better.

Best of luck whichever direction the wind sends you /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Please don't do that. All that would do (as if it would do much anyway) is stop the US citizens and leave us completely over whelmed by the illegal Mexicans...
