well i finally got the 52's straightened out. asa few suggested im running the rear hangers in the stock location. the angle isnt the best, but for now it will work. i also swapped in another d60 with 4.56's and put my new steering on. i also redrilled the d60 perches 1" so that my axle will be 3.5" forward, which looks like its perfect for the tie-rod to clear the 6.2 oil pan. however check out my spring plates. the driverside has no clearance with the tie-rod, while the pass side has plenty. on the pass side im running a shim to fix the angle, i think if i do the same on the driverside it will solve the current clearance issue, thats the only difference between the two sides.

what yall think?

i found one a couple hours away, with 4.56 detroit and discs, the guy wants $750 for it, which is cheaper than if i was go regear and detroit and disc so im considering that. once the front is finished (hopefully everything will be resolved tomorrow or sunday), the rear will go under the knife. i still gatta buy some of the parts for the rear.

Looking good man! Thanks again for everything! Have you found anything on that fitting yet? I'm going to start tearing mine back down hopefully this weekend. I took your advice and bought that flip and switch from DIY4X and it should be here soon along with their 14 bolt spring plates. I need to transfer my build to here too. If you need anything, don't hesitate to give me a holler! :thumb:

Glad to see I'm not the only one that has to crawl around in the dirt to work on something!!:D Looks great!

i believe they are 8* shims but im not sure. all of the steering is from northwest fab. im hoping to get the tires back on it in a day or so, so ill snap pics to show the fenders and anything else you wana see.

Loooks sweeet!!!:D :D :D

Got some bucks into that project!!!

well after cycling the steering, even with the shim it is going to contact, so it looks like im going to have to grind down the plates some to get them to clear :( the reason im having the clearance issue with the spring plates is becuase i drilled the perces back 1" so the tierod is closer to the spring plates

WHERE'S MY UPDATED PICS?!?!?!

j/k :D can't wait to see 'em :D

haha sorry, ill try to get some tomorrow. ive decided im going to move the springs back to the stock perch location so i can still use the diy4x spring plates, 2.5" forward should be good enough for now. i should be able to get tires on it tomorrow if all goes as planned after work
