Update on my junk!! (Truggy it)

ALMOST DONE!!!:D
Paint is finished, wiring is just about done. Waiting on 2 70 amp relays from 12voltguy to wire my electric fans. Guages, switches, propane, rock lights are all hooked up.
Need to install my ram horn manifolds then run plugs/wires. Need new radiator hoses and then it will be running:D

WAHHHOOOOO ITS RUNNING!!!!!
My friend came over and helped to get the disty in right, wasnt a big deal.
Hooked up the plug wires and she fired right up :D
Idles perfect, good throttle response so I think the timing is just about dead on.
Sounds good with open rams :D
Everything was cake except that I forgot to hook up the tranny lines :eek1:
So when it was running I felt my pants getting wet, I mean I was happy but not that much:haha: . Had about a half gallon of tranny fluid shot on me
Jeez I love propane:D
We are trying to get a local test run together for this weekend so hopefully ill be done by then.
Im stoked:D

Well today I went out to a buddy's place and had a test run.
The truck performed AWESOME. I m very happey how it turned out, much different then full bodied.
The place that we went had gotten alot of rain about 2-3 days before so it was very muddy which made for some fun wheeling:D
I hammered up a few climbs and rock ledges then I cam to this steep ledge. I tried a bunch of times crawling it, then with a little wheel speed. Then I said screw it back off about 10' and put the pedal to the floor. Well I found my weak link:eek1:
Front driveshaft blew all to pieces.
Broke the joint at the pinion as well as fubaring the pinion yoke. Busted out the centering thing in the CV. I think what happened was when I hit the ledge it poped the front end up going to max Flex which was to much for it to take.
Guess ill have to run a limiting strap until I can afford to upgrade.
Anyways heres a few pics, didnt get to many because of the mud.
Overall I VERYYYYY happy with how it performed, best mod ever:D

More pics after this weekend.
Im competing in the rock crawl at the 4 wheel jamboree. Should be fun:D

I'm about a year behind you but I'll be stealing some of your ideas and harassing you for measurements over the summer if you don't mind.

Went to the 4 wheel jamboree this weekend. It was basically a joke. Very un-organized.
I got 3rd in the rock crawl because I thought the comp was on Sunday and they had it on Saturday.
It was just 3 piles of rocks. So I decided to make it fun for the crowd.
Pulled up to the second pile and when I felt my tires touch nailed it:D Basically jumped over the pile like a monster truck. When I hit I just turned it hard right and rolled it on the 3rd pile:D
I rolled it HARD. Cage didnt even budge.
On a side note my truck worked good, climbed everything I pointed it at and felt very stable doing it.
Heres some pics:

Whenever thread started I absolutely hated what you were doing cause I dont like to see pretty trucks all cut up and tubed but now that its done I love it and I wanna do the same thing to my dd.:D
Great work.

Thats freakin bad ass... Thats deffintly how im going to do a trail rig. Only i'll just buy some pos $250 hunk of crap, strip the body, do some good running gear(like yours) and tube it out. Thats jus the best way to go IMO for a dedicated wheelin rig.
