***UPDATED PICS***** HOME SAFE ROAD TRIP: SLC, UT to Pensacola, FL 12/30-1/1/07

I land a 2:17 am:eek1: . Plan on taking a nap at one of the gates until whenever. The dealer opens at 9 located at 1925 West 3500 South
West Valley City, UT. Looks to be just a few miles from the airport.

If you end up coming down this way give me a hollar. I'll help with what I can.

Andy

I just hope they don't lose my baggage(tools).

I lucked out with my deal. Cam included about $100 worth of tools in the purchase price, as well as a couple of spare fan belts, every fluid in the book, and a spare coil. He also loaded me up with tons of snacks, a dozen bottles of water, a 6 pack of OJ, some personal care items, and just in case, a sleeping bag!!!!!

I'm excited for you, Rob. Looking back, although the road trip was exhausting, it was an adventure. And God knows guys our age don't really have adventures anymore........:rotfl: :rotfl:

Wow glad your flight doesn't get in early:D I live about thirty min from the airport but will be free at that time..... if you need some help let me know

Man, I didn't know we were that old???? The doc still says I'm too young for my knee replacement though.:doah:

I may be available to come and get you. I live about 5 min from the dealer you are going to. What time would you need a ride? 2 is alotabit early.

I live a half mile south of I-40 Exit 47 in west central Arkansas. Feel free to stop at my house if you need a place to stop. I've done the all nighters many times hauling horses with my sons to Colorado. It would have been peace of mind to know of a few places along the way to stop if I had to. I could always feel a miss or shimmy at 3 am!

I am thinking of just going US-287 from Amarillo to Dallas and then on I-20 into Louisianna.

Do you SLC boys want to catch breakfast around 7-7:30?

Have you bought and paid for the truck already?

I have a deposit on the truck. I have to do it this weekend even if it takes til Tuesday to get home.

I may have to go South to Phoenix then East on I-10.

I would hope that I-15 would be clear by Saturday.

As long as there is no snow I should be able to come pick you up at 7 from the airport. Saturday the 30th right?

I live just 30 miles south of Salt Lake. If you have any concerns with the truck once you hit the road call me @ 801 319-9329. I have a repair shop just off of exit 278 with just about anything you'll need. I can travel up to 200 miles to come rescue you if the unthinkable happens.

Oh and make sure that 30 gig i Pod is full of your favorite music, books etc.

Good luck and be safe,
Chad

*********IS there anyone in Albuquerque that can let me know about I-40 being open??? Post a # by 4pm or call me tomorrow morning. Thanks

I just read on msnbc.com that I-40 is closed between Albuquerque and Amarillo. They're expecting snow and ice in the area until midday on Saturday. It might be clear by the time you get there.

Rob has purchased the truck. He has made it to Kanab UT. Just north of the Az border. Truck seems to be doing well at this point.. Thanks to every one involved in his transportation. Or help if needed on his way.

Good luck brother

Scott
