Upper King Pin repair

Hard time seeing thread structure.... Looks like you moved the threads...

???? Do they make replacement parts oversized?

Possibly drill it out oversized on a mill,. Tap it. .
Make a new threaded insert out of tool steel + heat treat it.... Install the insert with hi strength loc tite.

Thinking of making the insert like the insert on a Dana 44.... Just none adjustable.

Questionable practice, but I could make that pin ( oversized,) out of tool steel, heat treat it....

I got a new king pin and a tap. I ran the tap half way down and stopped, then put the new king pin in. I started torquing it at 25ftlbs. and went up by 25 at a time till I got to 200. I didn’t feel like pushing it past 200. I then welded the bottom and called it good. I think with 200ftlbs holding it and being welded it should be good to go.
