So I'm installing my front powertrax in my d44 today. I have the entire long side of the axle pulled apart with the shaft out. Get the warn hub and gear out of the other end, remove the spindle nuts. I give the rotor/wheelhub assembly a tug and its stuck. It pivots and pulls out about 2-3 inches but will not budge. There was nothing wrong with the front end before, no noises or anything. What the hell gives I'm all greasy and tried yanking on it like crazy but still nothing!

It sounds like one of your bearings may be stuck on the spindle. I would try maybe using a dead blow hammer to loosen it up. You may have to try to remove the inner seal to free them up.

I tried all of that. When my buddy (or maybe it was me I dont remember) did that side of the axle when we rebuilt it he tightened the inner nut way too much. I wound up using a el cheapo gear puller from work. The little spring in the seal managed to get under the inner bearing!

Then I just cut the bearing off the spindle and all is well.
