OK GUYS, HATE TO BE SHOUTING BUT I'M SICK TO MY STOMACH W/ ANGER!!!!!!!

LAST NIGHT (3/16/05) DAD'S RUST FREE '75 HE BOUGHT LAST YEAR WAS STOLEN FROM HIS DRIVE IN LA QUINTA, CA (PALM SPRINGS AREA)....NEWLY REBUILT ENGINE AND NEW TIRES. SHOULD BE EASY TO SPOT, GOLD W/ WHITE TOP AND PRIMERED DOORS (HE HAD JUST HAD THE 'TRUCK STYLE' MIRRORS REPLACED W/ STANDARD ONES, AND HAD THE HOLES FILLED.

POLICE THINK IT MAY HAVE BEEN STOLEN FOR THE WHEELS. PROBLEM IS THE ONLY INSURANCE HE HAD ON IT WAS COLLISION BECAUSE IT WAS STILL A WORK IN PROCESS.

Burt, Thanks for keeping your eyes peeled. I've heard 2 possible outcomes:

1. They wanted the tires: pulled it to a hidden vacant lot or alley and pulled them off and left it.

2. It was taken to Mexico, as Chevy trucks are in high demand.

I guess another possibility is that it was taken somewhere and the engine was pulled as well as the tires.

Is this a deal where there is a limited market, so the body, etc. is not worth much on the black market, (vs. later model chev trucks), or is there a huge market for the square body trucks?

Ya I don't know bro, I would guess with all the different flea markets and swap meets all the parts could easly be sold. And Mexico aint that far away....I would be VERY depressed if that happend to me.
