What is a fair price to pay for good working NP205?
Coarse spline figure 8, Like $50. A 32 spline round pattern one is the only one worth actual money, few hundred, depends on condition and outputs.
You have some real research in front of you before just buying parts. What trans are you bolting it to? What are you replacing? All the info is here if you search. Start here: https://www.offroaddesign.com/tech/...e/offroad-design-np-205-technical-information
This is exactly right. I run the 465/205 combo because they are tough, and cheap. They don't really break without abuse. There are much more desirable setups that guys are switching to, driving the price down. $250 for a quality trans/adapter/tcase is a fine price. That's why a unknown condition coarse spline tcase without any adapter or trans is really only worth about $50. The rebuild kit for a 205 is only about $125.No, I quit selling stuff on C-list about 2 years ago. While I still have tons of C/K parts I only sell to the CK5 community now.
I have a very good fig 8 205 with 4spd transmission listed on the classified section here I think for $250.00 ??
It is from my personal K5 and worked great. Generally speaking with the exception of the 10 spline coupler both of these are pretty much bullet proof so hardly anyone needs them.
27 and 10 splines are 200sh, and a 32 spline is easily double.
You guys get $200 for a 10 spline out there? They are like doorstops around here. Nobody wants to run them anymore.27 and 10 splines are 200sh, and a 32 spline is easily double.
You should be able to tell all you need from a couple good pics. Thanks thats what info I was after.
Will I, who is still a bit green be able to tell which of either the 27 or 10 spline from a picture?

Should be a 27.
