Utility Truck Build

Worked out the mileage from a trip this past weekend, getting a little over 12 mpg on the highway.
 
That thing is really coming along. I need to quit my job so I can start going up to the shop again!
 
On the clearance lights, they are still available from the dealer, or at least they were a few months ago.
 
Great work on the bumpers. I like the idea of the battery terminals out back too. I am curious what you did for the power that far back though.

Found them in LMC's new catalog as well. $10/lens, but that's not too bad considering you can't get them otherwise.

Nothing has been wired yet. Just don't have time before I ship and I might wind up with an aluminum dash depending on how big the bill is from the body shop when I get back. Don't want to do a bunch of wiring I'll have to tear out, ya know?

On the back bumper, planning on running some 1/0 or 2/0 to the power terminal and grounding the other. They're not meant to power the space shuttle, just a small trailer winch or jump the truck if needbe.

It was -20 or so with windchill here today so I grabbed a picture as fast as I could with my phone. I'll take a few more when I'm not risking frostbite to do so.
 
How about a pic in the sun? -20 is not risking frostbite you wuss.
 
I've been on campus or the road pretty consistently during daylight for the past week. Tomorrow I'm Uncle Sam's pretty little girlfriend 0700-2230. I'll try to grab a few daylight pictures on Sunday.

-20 ain't sh!t compared to this morning. Drove to Minneapolis at 6am, at some spots in the river valley the car was saying it was -31F...and that thing is pretty darn accurate if not a degree or two on the warm side. I can't imagine what the windchill would have brought it down to if I had gotten a flat tire or something stupid. I've got the clothes to deal with it safely...but I'd rather not have to!

Well, who knows what I'll be up to by then. Rabid redhead is INSANE and not worth the effort.

However there's tons of them around here so maybe I'll find another.

I'll be around. May have a roomie though. Actually probably will. You're welcome, just let me know when.
