I ran with my brother's club at Uwharrie last weekend. It was truly my first real wheeling experience. And of course they broke me in right. They took me on Daniel as my first ride. (to those not in the know, it is one of the hardest trails at Uwharrie)
This is also the trail that "cbbr" flopped his burb, I believe. I received some body damage to the right rocker area as shown in the pics, believe it, or not, on the "bypass" for the hardest stuff. I actually couldn't make the bypass. I ended up going up the hard line, but making it fine.
The truck (88 K5) is setup for sand drag racing, so it was not optimally equipped. With stock springs, 10 bolts with 2.73 gears, a 3000 stall convertor, and 33" MT's I did make it. Glad I added a skidplate to the t-case.
It also has a lockrite in the rear and swaybar still hooked up.
Well onto the pics.... They are not the greatest, but its something, and I wanted to share.
It was fun, can't wait to go back with something a little bit more capable.
