You guys are aware of the 1969 I fix up/ put back together, hell a lot here helped with that. Now I know shortsbed 67-72 are worth some $, and yes the truck value is really what is willing to be paid for it.

I'm thinking $30,000ish is a fair asking price but... I know some here may be biased here or jaded on 67-72 c10's

Help me put a fair price on this truck, if I ever do decide to sell. Also for a better a better value to be insured for.

I'll attach all the parts I can remember being installed on it and a couple pics.

Do you have any original paperwork?

Here is a recent sale on BaT, i think is similar condition to yours (you know your condition better than me of course). It also has original paperwork, which is cool for an enthusiast, but is important to a collector. Sold for $27.5k i think $30k would be minimum of what I would have it insured for as an “agreed upon amount”.

There are certainly more expensive 67-72’s that sold on BaT, but many have modern upgrades. For these and squares, it seems some sort of LS swap and modern trans is typically worth $10k additional value (at least last time i dug through all the sales and compared them), all other things being equal.

A good start would be to check the Craigslist and marketplace and get an idea of what the market in your area is like.
I also see that some are priced too high and stay on month after month.
I ended up selling my 1970 long bed with a BBC 402 and th400 for $5500 to a friend.
I had everything rebuilt and a bunch of new parts including new wiring.
Paint wasn't as good as yours but it was original and had a nice patina.
I see them listed here for $10k to 20k but only the the ones under 8k sell

Nah, just the original owners notes in the buyers book.

I have it covered with Hagerty for $20,000 but the prices are a bit all over with selling. I'm looking for a fair open market sale price not to a friend or ck5 brother prices.

if you have sales data you can point to to support it, i would insure it for a higher amount. If you were to insure it for $15k you would likely have a hard time in the current market finding a replacement in same condition. Can you find them, of course, but I would place replacement value on what is reasonably available, not needle in haystack bargain. If it took you years to find one at that price, then thats not the replacement value.

The last thing you want is to get screwed on replacement value after already getting screwed for being in the situation to need to replace (ie: theft, accident, etc).

I was going to bump the value up to $35-40k. It's kept in my garage as well. Just that value hike costs $$ but $20k is low, I agree

I forget what i have my k5 insured for, but its pretty high. There are a couple similar condition sales on BaT that supported it at the time I increased it 2yrs ago. I think market has cooled off a little bit, but I’m not going to adjust value everytime market changes.

The cost differences was negligible with hagerty, so its a no brainer. Hopefully I never need it.

30k is low for your truck. It is very nice. You do the upholstery and carpet it's a done truck. Many "restored" c10's are going for twice as much, and they're long beds, like bat posted above.

It has new carpet along with sound deadning under it

I've got my 70 Jimmy insured for 50k and it's not even complete yet. They asked what I could buy an equivalent for and that is the number I came up with. They had no issue with that number either.

Have the 86 K10 insured for 20k, which I feel is high for what it is but again they didn't have a problem.

Insure it for what it would take to replace it with a very similar one. Body/paint/running gear. I'd rather pay a little more (for more coverage) and be made whole than end up priced out of the market.

First of all I love your truck. That being said I never understood appraisals. Really a truck is worth anything someone is willing to pay. It is subjective. I’ve seen trucks go for 120k to Saudi Arabia but same truck 40-50 here maybe.
I do insure my 70 k5 for 50k but only bc I can I don’t plan on selling the thing but I don’t know how I’d set that number. Sorry I can’t be more help lol
