Yeah fordum ...me and my son are ruger guys...we have a gp100 ,Lcp 380 crimpson trace, and I bought my son the all wood 10-22 long rifle for his birthday and first rifle......just a few of the toys....but marlin idle defiantly a good name to have

I figured at 7 he might need a smaller rifle. I've got about 4 10/22s, along with a couple of Remingtons and a Winchester in .22 ca.

I bought my cousin's son a Chipmunk when he was little, but they have been bought out by Cricket.
The gun shot great, and he loved it. But the darn thing had a peep sight, and I wanted standard iron sights.

If you know how to shoot already, the peep can be more accurate, but it sucks for teaching.

So, I quit recommending them and switched to the Marlin because of the sights.

If he is big enough, the Ruger is hard to beat. But I like to start off young shooters with single shots.
That teaches them to make the first shot count. Instead of just spray and pray.

Hey 496 do u have pics of the 2002 seats u put in......i want the center console seat....thanks for the info ....defiantly a 700r4.... Mainly fir the trans lines are all there and ready.....and I need the transfer case crossmember and alot of little parts from the parts truck. . And the steering column since my blazer was stolen and stripped ......

Super sweet 496 ....I GOTTA do the same thing ....kids and dogs....and hows the line-x floor ...the sound...is it loud or hot or anything????? I think im done bothering u now .....

Those seats were the first and best mod I did to my truck. 100x more comfortable than the stock buckets and original too low console. I tried but could not find a tan set.

The sound thing is a loaded question for me. The first thing I did to my truck after dragging it home and getting it running was remove the wet, nasty, moldy carpet. I have no idea how it sounded driving down the road inside with a carpet. And before this truck the last time I drove one of these in stock form was about 1997 when I worked at a GMC dealer. So I don't really remember how they sounded inside.

I used Herculiner and the best I can tell you is, it's quieter than bare steel floors. And it has to be a real hot day before I notice any real heat coming off the floor. And I drive this truck all the time with bare feet or just sandals after going to the beach or pond.

And, yes, I did just admit to wearing sandals... And sandal wearing aside, I assure you, I do prefer the company of women.

Lmao...yeah definitely a womens person too .... Yeah I've been wanting those seats for a few years now....just can't wait till income btax....yeah thinking just put the tbi in the blazer for cheapness to get it on the road .....maybe the 6.0 next year...or if I can make get some good deals I will..
