i drove the new blazer today down the highway...when i got up to 60 or so i got a bad vibe...

alright what i know...the po rebuilt the trans and for some reason spaced the tranny/transfer case down when he re installed it...

he also put 373s in the rear (had 273s)...

the truck is stock w 33s and has been sitting for about a year...

any ideas??im putting a lift/wheels/tires and 3/4 tons on it right now but just thinking of anything elce to be a cause for concern??

oh and it gets worst after you let of the gas pedal but you dont get any vibes off it at 0-55 or so...

just had the same issue after i swapped to 3/4 ton as well, turns out my front wheels were toed out aboot 1/4" and the dampener is shot.

toed the wheels in last weekend and checked the dampener (which is getting replaced this weekend) and that cleared most of it up.

good luck

Check tire balance and make sure the tires are round first. Some tires can flat spot when they sit to long.
they are radial all terrians...i have driven around going 45 or so for 10 to 15 miles then as soon as i jumped on the interstate it happened...it wasnt to bad i could still drive it but it was shacking the truck preety good..

I'd check the tire balance and front end, make sure all is safe to drive. Then not worry about anything else till you get all the parts changed.

...I would check the rear u-joint and pinion yoke, make sure they're tight

If you haven't changed the driveline angle from lift and the like, then there is no need for changing the angle on the case, rear axle, etc.

I'd put it back to "stock" unless there is some other reason the case was moved. It may not be the cause, but it could be, and is absolutely pointless.

i plan on lift the tranny and t-case up in the stock location anyway...

Lifting the t-case will make the problem worse, unless you get a cv. The vibes are all comming from the yoke at the t-case I bet.

thats what it feels like...havnt i read on here its better to have the t case in the stock location???

It depends on what case, driveline, and intended use.

I would stick it back up where it belongs, and get a driveline built.

it doesn't matter what its doing now. you are going to cahnge everything. drive it after that and see what you have. fixing something now is stupid since everything is going to change.

for example, lets say its the rear shaft. you are going to lift it and install a 14 bolt. nothing will be the same.

alright so tonight i took the blazer for a good distance drive...

after some time behind they wheel i started to get the same vibs as before...
the vibes are worst at slow and high speeds...around 25 to 45 they are ok...

here is my current setup...
shackle flip rear,7 inch diy shackles, the transfercase is dropped with the stock spacers, and it still has the half ton driveshaft with a jump joint on one end...

its not really that much lift so i dont see why it would shake so bad...also my shackle is straight up and down and i have not shimmed the rear...

the trans is also off a fresh rebuild (supposobly)but shifts hard between park and reverse,1 and 2nd and 2nd to 1st...

any ideas??

i have a shackle flip with 5 inch shackles, no shims and my pinion is pointed up enough that it runs fine with a cv shaft. Do you have a cv shaft?if you dont and your pinion is tilted up like i imagine then that could be a source of vibes. The faster you go the more your axle is going to wrap making it worse if that is the problem.if its not a cv shaft, the angles may be to extreme or it could even be the tires out of balance. Take some pictures of your driveline, that may help somebody else answer some questions.
