Cool vid. The ride looks brutal and I bet those guys were still picking dust out of their mouths, noses, and ears for weeks after each race riding around with an open cockpit and open faced helmets!
That is freaking awesome. I've only seen still shots of those Blazers, never video. Very cool to see them in action along with all the other trucks and buggies on the course. Those early desert guys had seriously big brass cajones for sure. The video reminded me a lot of early NFL films footage with the soundtrack, but cooler with desert trucks instead of football.
Yeah Definitely some great footage. I watched it the other day before work. It looks like that thing has about as much supension travel as my ifs duramax.

i'm a 2WD guy, so i have to ask, did they use any/all of the original frame or is this fiberglass and tube frame, not that there is anything wrong with that, but i'm just wondering?

Think that was rough in the Blazers. Think about what the guys in the squarebody steppers that were racing in the film. Must have been brutal with the solid axle up front.Pretty cool! But my back hurts just watching it
