ive got lots of questions tonight... can you put vortec heads and a vortec intake on a non vortec block, like a 94 SBC? this may be a dumb question im sorry if it is im just trying to get things in order for a friend..,

Yes.
Keep in mind that if the vehicle needs to pass emissions testing then you might not be able to legally get away with it. If they do allow it then you'll have to address the EGR issue.

Don't you also have to run a coolant bypass hose from the intake to the water pump. Some say you do some say you don't. That also has to do with the water pump having the bypass hole on the pass. side that runs from the pump to the head.

This was just in another thread that i replied in. GM started getting rid of the internal bypass BEFORE the vortec engine came out and GM never used any bypass hose on those.
