Because a flow bench says so, along with the dyno.

Have you flowed the EQ's?

Are (were) the RHS Vortec replacements worse off as well?

From what I'm hearing the current production Vortecs don't flow as well as the older ones either.

The older Vortecs are better. So are a certain casting number of the older Vortecs. You'll have to ask John (80'427), he has the flow bench.
