Want 5.13s. Any suggestions?

I've been a while for a very long time. In the meantime, I've swapped a 454, front Dana 60 and rear 14 bolt to my Blazer. My 454 is tired (bone stock with many miles). I currently have 4.10 gears with 38.5 Super Swampers SXs.

My question is, any recomendations on where to buy the gears. So far, 4wpw has good price on both sets, but not sure if their quality is good or if I can find a better price somewhere else.

Another question. Since I need to go with thick gears, Do the installation kits need to be a different part number in order to get longer ring bolts? Or is there a specific part number for just the longer bolts?

Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm not 100% positive but i think the bolts will come with the gear set.

Randy's ring and pinion is the best IMO.

i ran a poll a few months back and best bang for the buck was yukons. and most of the time the thick rears are hard to come by. and my yukons didnt have new bolts. i think its the install kits that do.

the 4.10 14ff rear will be thick or swap the carrier out but thats pricey. and i dont think thay make std rotation 60 thicks. that will need a new carrier for 4.56 up

Don't buy gears from 4 wheel parts. They sell Genuine Gears and they are genuine crap. Yukon is the way to go with an install kit (comes with the bolts). Call around and go with thick gears, the spacer is not a great idea.

I always bought my gears straight from MARK WILLIAMS out in Broomfield Colorado..... I got the gears for my 78 Camaro with a 10 bolt for 100.00 even. that was a set of 4.11s in what they called a brown box deal (?).
