I'm looking for the internals of a gov lock 14 bolt. The three spiders, two side gears, cross pin, and all the other little gizmos. Have not been able to find them locally. Thanks guys

just grab a whole unit .

what is the need for ?

there not the most user serviceable item . once smoked there just recycled basicly.

with this said I love my 14ff gov loc in my few trucks .

I welded my gov lock spider gears into a spool. I loved it offroad but now I want to take it in another direction and start driving it on the street.
I was just going to throw another set of spider gears in to make it an open diff.
Less wear and tear on my tires and axle for the street driving I plan on doing.

There are many variations of the 14 bolt FF gov-loc. The early ones are from roughly 73-90, they are small journal and guts will not interchange with 91-up cases. The early 70's versions had a larger governor and latchet but IIRC can be interchanged with small governor early design.

Later versions, 91-up? had large journal spiders, the spiders are the same as 14B SF. there were case variations and at least two spacer designs between the side gears, two thrust blocks with a shim or a ground cylindrical spacer.

Do you know if you have a 90-back unit or 91-up?

Its definitely an early model 14 bolt. '73 I believe to be exact.
