Any ideas who might carry the large bushing that the bolt rides in and attaches the shifter to the transfer case? I've got a '76 jimmy w/ 1986 cucv running gear (th400/np205). mine apparently is ?oil soaked? 'cause it will go into gear, but it feels about like a butter knife in a jar of peanut butter:doah:tried GM and it's discontinued ( #2423517) and local parts flunkies give me the "cow eating grass look" when I tell them what I'm looking for.

mine has no bushing, just a bolt with a grease fitting and a washer. if i can remember to look at work ill look up the bolt part#. i think theres a few and i know the one is still available, i checked about a month ago.

Any updates on the bushing?

I pulled a 400/205 from an '80 Sub and the whole rubber bushing was just shot. The sleeve stuck to the bolt and the rest of the shifter slid right over everything.

Anyone know where to get the rubber part? Maybe someone could make them out of aluminum or bronze?
