Hey Guys,
Not sure if this is the correct section or not, but I wanted to share the find. I just ordered a brand spanking new Warn VR 12,000 lb winch (wire rope and roller fairlead) for $509 shipped from Amazon. Dont know how long this will last but it was the best price i could find by far. Good luck.

wow, that'd be sweet under the tubebed in Mutt.... hmmmmmmm...

wonderful

Went off the deep end, ordered the winch, snatch block, and tree saver. I already have enough kinetic rope and strap to reach the moon. :doah: A gang of D rings too. Just need some gloves and recovery bag should be complete. :waytogo:

Wonder what these sell for on eBay? I'm thinking buy two of them and sell one to pay both off. Can you say "free winch"?

Travis and Kyle Pfenning,

I greatly appreciate your support in having my rebate submission approved. I am looking forward to receiving that check. I haven't attempted the installation but hoping to do so in June, will update this review again. Thanks again guys, your efforts were truly appreciated.

Jensen.

Rebate? $80? Whats going on here? Sounds like this is one of those "too good to be true" deals.

dunno, but EBay, google shopping, and 4WP are all more expensive. Strangely, 4WP was the next cheapest at 6sumthing. Time will tell, but am happy to see it comes with a lifetime warranty. Not sure what all that covers, but figured the price is about right for the Smittybult xr12 I was going to buy.

I checked eBay also and they show the average price for this V-series in the mid to upper $700 range, with free shipping.

Then I checked the other more popular Warn 12K winch and they were in the range of $1400-$1700.

Makes one wonder why Warn would offer a cheap winch. Then it dawned on me that maybe these are like those cheap winches sold at Sams, Walmart, etc. Just a rebadged cheap winch.

I though about that. But, warn has a lowest price garentee on there website for this winch. Someone should ask them for one at that price or less then at least it's coming straight from warn

I called Warn before I bought this... they assured me the VR12,000 is 100% Warn and it has the lifetime guarentee, not some re-badged junk.

I also called Amazon... they said if I didnt like it, I could return it and they pay the shipping.

I guess I'll know when I get the winch delivered and I open the box. I figured at this ridiculously low price, I'd take the chance.

everything is china lol

I told a friend that I bought one, he said "cool, that comes from the same factory as my Smittybult xr12 does" He works for Don Gross sales, but I don't know if his info is straight and I couldn't tell if he was kidding. (texting)

Either way, it's lifetime warranty and hopefully they stand behind it. The Smittybult I was going to get doesn't offer that IIRC

Because they know all they sold ya was a guaranteed piece of shi*. That’s all it is, isn’t it? Hey, if you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it guaranteed, I will. I got spare time. But for now, for your customer’s sake, for your daughter’s sake, ya might wanna think about buying a quality product from me.
