Warn 12,000lb Winch

just an fyi, ordered the winch a few days ago, and even though it said 3-5 weeks shipping it just shipped today, supposed to be here the 28th. should get a tracking number, be curious where it ships from, 8 days is kinda long but i'm not complaining!

Just got an update email from Amazon... the VR 12,000 should be delivered tomorrow...per UPS, it is in transit now. Just for shi*s and giggles, I went back onto Amazon for a price check... the same winch is now $520 but "temporarily out of stock"...it looks like you can get on a backorder list. Sooooooo glad I jumped on this when I did.
Just for an fyi, I have noticed that the prices on winches in general at Amazon are usually some of the best you can find, but interestingly, the prices fluctuate daily, sometimes hourly...which I found somewhat surprising, though I'm not sure why.
This is funny too.... when I was shopping for winches, I came across the site Truckaddons.com. They advertise they will beat any price by 5% with free shipping or they will give you $50. I figured I'd give them a shot. I called them and they gave me a ration of crap about how I could not be possibly buying the Warn VR 12,000 for $509 shipped. They refused to beat the price. When I asked about the $50 gig, they put me on hold and came back with yes, they will beat the $509 price, but during the time it took to have the phone call conversation, they suddenly sold out all that was in stock...it would be 12 to 15 weeks before I'd get my winch. What a scam operation !
A couple of mouse clicks later and my order with Amazon was placed. I still cant believe $509 shipped for the Warn VR 12,000.

I think I snuk in at the last minute cause mine has not shipped yet. I bought it the day this posted and it hasn't moved. 3-5 weeks is for me I guess

I feel like a kid at Christmas.... per UPS tracking, its out for delivery on the truck now....be here by the end of the day. I know my UPS guy usually drops off at my house between 4 and 5 pm... stay tuned.
