AZ Kickin has one and some others sell the brackets. I run an after market axle that advertises to be 35% stronger than stock. Moser engineering is a good source for the axles, I think Off Road Design also sells them.
Ha, yes I noticed the date... but I guy's gotta start somewhere.

Even if the Warn kit is no longer available, I'd still love to know the ground clearance loss going from 10-bolt to 14-bolt if anybody would be kind enough to help out a newbie.![]()

Well there is an alternative, that is in the middle, I got a D60 rear full floater, has more clearance than a 14 bolt, and is barely lower than a 10 bolt, and is more than enough for 35-36" tires.
I am redrilling mine to 6 lug so I can keep my cheaper tires choice open.![]()
Thanks very much for your responses everybody. I really appreicate your help. It's all a bit complex for a newbie like me that's just starting out. So many variables to consider in planning things out.
I think I'll try to pick up an 89-91 K5 with the 30 spline corporate 10-bolt. I'll do a 4 inch spring lift, throw on some 33"s, add some safety, recovery and body protection over time and that will sort of be phase 1. This will give me the moderately capable rig I'm looking for... something that can take me on some pretty rough roads for remote camping and hunting. I'm not planning on doing any serious boggin' or crawlin'.
Should I decide I want to go with bigger tires at some point in the future, I'll swap in some D60s/14-Bolts and put on some bigger tires and lockers as phase 2.

I don't know about ford axles, I got mine from a 70 chevy 3/4 ton pickup.Just got a Dana 60 rear for my m1009. It is from a 72 Ford, how easy are they to bolt on?
