Warn Winch Mounting bolt size?

My father bought a M10000 from his friend and I need to know what size the mouting bolt sizes are. 3/8's fit but they dont seem to be right, they seem too loose. It has the same size mounting pattern as a M12000 so I have a feeling that they are the same shell, just different motors and gear sets.

They should be 1/2" diameter or larger to carry that kind of load. The ones that were sent to me with my MM E-12000 are metric but they're almost 1/2" in diameter.

Jason, try a 13mm bolt. I will look to see if i have any to bring over and test.

I am pretty sure my 8274 uses 7/16" bolts into the winch housing. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
