I find people who name themselves the same as a video game mech warriors a little strange myself

it goes back to my early skate days... companies using the z for s's, than idiot x-game types coming around with "extreme sports" and all that ghey terminology...

and I didn't "name myself", it's a nickname given to me by my friends..

no worries just giving you a hard time. I really could careless what people use as usernames. I've had mine for so many years I just keep using it and it is always free on every forum.

I also get exceptionally annoyed by guys naming their rig, or screenname, some overly macho, tough term... like TERMINATOR21 , MONSTER WHATEVER, and stuff like that... if this applies to anyone here, .......

I've had similar issues with Ebay, but as a buyer... a guy from Florida sent me a set of 3.1L aluminum Chevy heads for a 2.8 I was building... he set them in a box and tossed in a couple pieces of loose paper and shipped them... by the time they ended up on my doorstep (I wasn't home when they were delivered) the box was split in half and one of the heads sustained severe damage on the mating surface... I contacted the guy about it and basically, he told me "tough... deal with it"... I filed a claim immediately...

trying to make heads or tails of the whole thing I started a thread on Ebay's forum describing the incident and asking people for their input... the response I got was so overwhelmingly negative and surprising, I just gave up... most responders blamed me for the problem and bashed the snot out of me for filing a claim!!! ...

long story short (too late!), I sent the heads back for a full refund... BUT, when I did, I made sure to tape the heads together with about an inch of cardboard between the heads, using an entire roll of duct tape, stuffed them into an over-size box, and packed the box FULL of peanuts, newspapers, and cardboard, just to show this jerk what a decent packing job looks like... the box ended up weighing about 50lbs and it cost me over $60 to ship back to Fla... never heard another word from this guy, but he did refund my money... these heads were bought in "like new" condition for $100, free shipping... I guess I now know why the shipping was free!

... the whole thing ticked me off so much I decided to close my Ebay account right then and there... and you know what? I haven't missed it one bit!

I don't shop on Ebay either, I can usually find everything I have ever looked for somewhere else, usually Amazon has been pretty good with everything.
