Wasting Oil

I could only see one picture--the passenger side valve cover--if the large chrome cap on it has holes to allow air in the motor, its ok--if not,you need one that has holes so it can let fresh air into the crankcase--the drivers side should have a spot for a PCV valve with the rubber grommet, you need to have a PCV valve for it to run right(it needs a source of constant vacuum, usually a large spout is on the carb for the hose to it).If you dont run a PCV valve, pressure can build up in the crankcase and force oil out any seals, gaskets, dipstick tube, etc, and cause the oil to sludge up quickly and turn to mayonaise in the motor, because all the water vapor wont get purged out--also the PCV valve is a vacuum leak, the carb is jetted for use with a PCV valve--block it off and the carb runs much richer. Not good for mileage and performance if its too rich. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
