weatherstripping, silverado or base ?

my stepdad dosnt know whether to go with silverado or base windshield and back glass weatherstrippings, it is an 82 k10 shortfleet silverado and will be dark blue like dark blue jeans blue, it has worn out sun bleached rust colored surround in the weatherstrippings currently

where to get all the chrome and such? is it worth having it ?

I say ditch the faux chrome and go with all black.

Not a big fan of black everything, it's the easy way out of having taste or style IMO, but the chrome weatherstripping has to go...not only does it discolor, but it shrinks too, and just looks bad.

Not to mention, (unless you get GM stuff) any aftermarket chromed plastic stuff I've seen never lasts.
