Weekend BDS lift install

So Nick was over helping me clean up and push my POS back in the garage (thanks btw!). Took a closer look at his old 'stock' springs and shocks. Front had an extra stock leaf added, same with the rear. All the slipper pads had been removed or fell off, and the rears had the spring clamps cut at the sides. Then we found one of his shocks had a bent shaft. It's no wonder it rode like a 1940's dump truck...

you mean it wasn't factory original......:dunno:huh?

I'd be interested how you fella's find the BDS springs compared to other 4" lifts in your group of solid axle GM's. Not much info out there on BDS spring ride compared to other more frequently mentioned lifts.

Its a lot better than my current Superstiiff, er II mean Superlift springs. Also nicer than.my old Ranchos.

I have a Zone 4" lift on order, I'm anxious to see how that rides. If I understand correctly Zone and BDS are the same outfit.

Damn! You beat me to the update about the previous owner and wishing i could find that rocket... Everyones talking about! I enjoy the ride alot on the bds leafs, that is a bit of a bias opinion as this is my first solid front truck and first set of leafs ive put on but it does ride nice, still dont want to hit a speed bump at 20-30 km and forget it was there. Im not sure about BDS and zone, i know that BDS owns FOX shocks but that is all im aware of.

My thoughts as well.
