I was wondering if anyone can give me approx weights for the front and rear corner sprung weights? My truck has a 350, 4speed and no top, so the closer to that the better, but anything will do to give me a ball park figure

I have tried to measure them using a load cell at work, but its really tough without removing the springs (at one end anyway)

A search would have gotten you this (from 2002):

I had my Blazer weighed on 4-Corner Scales at a local race shop:

L.F. = 1113
R.F. = 1285
L.R. = 1297
R.R. = 1121

Total weight = 4819 Lbs
Weight Distribution F/R: 2398 / 2418
Distribution Percentages: 49.79% / 50.21%

Configuration:
1972 Blazer with Factory Hardtop
35" Tires on Aluminum Wheels
D44 Front / 12-Bolt Rear axles
No Carpet - Though the roughly 100Lbs of stereo gear compensates
1/2 Tank of Fuel in an ~18 Gallon Tank.
No driver

Add or subtract as necessary, but that should get you close.

Good info to have available when I order the Alcans. :waytogo:

What would you guess the numbers to be this time 'round Greg?

Driver is heavier now..... :D

Too many factors have changed...axles, links vs leafs, no top, larger gas tank, larger tires, different drivetrain, solid metal replaced rusty panels, etc.

I was seriously considering buying a set of 4-corner scales as some point so I could get an accurate measurement...plus at that point I could weigh any individual parts I wanted to.

:popcorn: pretty much a loaded question, will be interesting to find out in the end though.

Driver wasn't in the first equation, no need to throw off the numbers for the next one.
