welding in patch panels

Maybe also cause they were my first 2 panels. :dunno:
Only thing different was the cooling methods though.
 
Some good youtube of someone I'd say is really good...TIG welding some Model A doors he is stretching. He goes over a lot of the issues as well as the fixes. You could watch it all, or skip to 26:30 or so.

Raptor is basically just thick paint. It’s super brittle once it cures, so it usually cranks and pops with any strain - like when a hood might flex, a tire rubs a fender, or a rock gets friendly with a quarter.

Same gun and applicator process will work for Seymour 2K protective, which stays flexible after curing. I have it all over my suburban.

I don’t recommend either.

An inexpensive paint job from Maaco with even half decent prep will work really well, and doesn’t cost a bunch.

Any single stage regular paint, will look good and be just as easy to apply.
You have to do the same masking... So why not.?
Implement paint with hardener would still be better and better looking..
About $50-60 at any farm store.
 
It took me 1.5 gallons to paint a suburban 3 coats.
Gauge what you need from that. :dunno:
