got my nice used snap-on torque wrench today from a ebay deal.

paid 315.00 shipped for this item. new thay are 800.00 he also had it calibrated just before retirment he said. been in his box at home and not used. so he sold it.

it will also go good with the 7/8 allen driver i have thats 3/4 drive.

i figure what the hell its only money and some of the stuff i have been doing i need more than 250 ft lb that my current wrench goes to.

oh ya new sdpc catolog for size refrence. its just over 4ft long.

good deal...

think i paid $80 for that socket.. lost access to the big torque wrench tho... so i'll go with the "hang my fat arse from a 6' fence pole" method of torque.... :haha:

Good deal. I highly suggest you cut off some of that allen hex so that when the allen is in the king pin the socket just about touches the king pin. The reason is because at 600 ft/lbs you want that hex as short as possible to avoid from having it twist and possibly break and also to keep the torque value as accurate as possible.

I scored my 600 ft/lb Snap-on torque wrench from E-bay for under $200.00 delivered.

One other thing, please for the love of god put your clothes on before taking any pics the next time. :D

Ya beat me to it, Was gonna say the same thing. One other thing is to minimize the "roll" effect. You don't want the allen socket rolling out of the hex, not that it would but the longer the tool the greater the leverage on it trying to roll it out. You want to rotate it with as minimized roll effect as possible, especially at 600ft/lb torque. Good luck. It ain't gonna be fun.

Could have fooled me with those pants and socks and stuff laying on the floor.

Is this picture better for your viewing pleasure?
