Sam's Offroad Memorial Day Run was a blast! However, I quickly became a Jeep recovery vehicle. We made 3 runs. The first run was a 3 star trail, the last two runs were on 4 star trails. The last trail of the day was called Greg's Rocks. And it ended with me dragging 2 of the 10 Jeeps that were with me up the trail and thru the rocks and trees. Actually, two lost there rear drive shaft and one lost a stub shaft. The one that lost his stub shaft was able to winch himself out. :D

It was a lot of fun and had some REAL close calls with trees kissing on my K5... But nothing a water hose wouldn't clear up.

I will try to post up some more pics today or tomorrow.

Out of over 100 vehicles registered, there was one other full size that I saw. It was a Bronco, but looked like they didn't wheel it. I think it belonged to Superlift.

Now, that is a nice pic. Whats up with the Ramsey stickers all over the truck? Still a good looking rig. Wish I had time to take mine out and wheel but am done for a few months until tempo at work slows down.

looks like you had fun! :thumb: From your pic, I would say you were the biggist vehicle out there. I will be going up there in November for the thanksgiving weekend w/ some friends. I hope to hav my K5 up and running by then or I will be in a slitely modified heep. i hope you had a good weekend.

Looks fun!!! :D :D

I bet it was crazy with all the rigs...

DP, are you intentionally rubbing this in my face? Cool job, cool truck, cool guy. Dang Im jealous. Looks like you all had a good time. Hey, since we run similar setups, how are you not rubbing the fenders like crazy with those IROKs? Im banging mine out on 38s, and your running 42s. Did you add some lift? I dont see any new trimming. Gimme a call when you get bored at work or this evening. I need updates....

One word - Bump Stops! :D lol

I am running 4" bump stops extended 2" - so a total of 6". And I am still able to invert my 5.5" BDS springs...

Lookin' great as usual. Looks like a fun time.

So you got some of the brushed on pin stripes eh..

get it, .... brushed on..

oh.. that's bad. :doah:

:o

DP, consider this my formal request for installing my new extended bumpstops. I want to run 42s now. GRRRRRRRRRR. Call me when you get a chance. Any luck on the "travel assistant" position?

I can't wait to post the picture of your Blazer pulling the Jeep on our local 4x4 clubs website. You just became picture of the week on my computer.

There was one other fullside at the park this weekend.... mine. It just doesn't look much like a blazer anymore. :D
