I saw this bumper from a guy that's parting a bunch of stuff off an older Chevy pickup.

He wants $60 for it, and despite what the picture looks like, he swears it's both straight and that the hitch is centered. He sent this pic to me.

It's not that far of a drive. I would probably ditch the guard, which definitely looks bent, and go for something else.

Thoughts from the gang?

i'd rock it, as is :waytogo:

It looks not so much that it's not straight, but that there's a ton longer on the left of it. Or is that just me?

Anyway, 60 bucks. I think I'll do it, barring more opinions from y'all.

If the bumper you currently have is that clean looking chrome one in your avatar, I'd be quite reluctant to switch to that one you're looking at.

It is pretty clean; the whole front clip, really, is in great shape. I just want something that I can mount lights to that looks good. More importantly, I'd like a rear bumper with a swing away, too; ideally, this is the first part, and I'll find or get the rear to roughly match later.

If you just need something to mount lights to, just pick up one of these little stinger things for the front of your bumper, like on mine:

It has mounting tabs for lights.

Don't know what sort of wheelin you do, but that one you're considering is going to hurt your approach angle. And, in my opinion, you could spend $50 at a scrap-steel yard and get materials to make a much nicer looking front bumper than that one. Pay a buddy to weld it with a nice $10 six pack of microbrew (if you don't weld), and you're at that $60 mark. :)

I just spent some time looking for some to fit a stock K and couldn't find anything, though I did find a nice pre-runner light bar. Suggestions?

New Joisey? Hells yeah! Road trip! The gas alone will run me 150, but hey...first roadie in the K!

Actually,I could do it this way, too: does anyone do a rack like I see on Jeeps or Land Rovers that frame the windshield? I can't really go on the roof because I can barely fit in there anyway.
