This is on a junker parts truck with a Goodwrench crate motor. Sat several years, started right up, runs super.
I can put it back together, even though I promised my wife I would part it and scrap the bones. Now I'm reluctant, it's so easy to get it ready for inspection. NewYork has no body/rust/holes regulations. HaHa!
Wonder how it ended up on this truck. Made in Kanada? Newer extra cabs were made in Oshawa Ontario, as were ALL Winstars, Dodge magicwagons. Health insurance sends automakers north, instead of dealing with HMO's. Subject for a different thread...
My friends 87 GMC C30 ramp truck with a 6.2 has the exact same fuel filter...his truck was built in Canada,so maybe thats a GM original filter??...he asked for a filter at the parts store for an 87 with a 6.2.and the one they gave him went right on no problem...to bleed it,he pulled it off the filter base slightly as I cranked it over..it started up after 15-20 seconds of cranking...
I think they moved the filters to behind the air cleaner on later trucks,(88-up),mounted on the intake..
