What am I not thinking of?

It took me over two weeks to find the same kind of noise coming from my front end twice, once it was in my Astro van and it was the bushings for the sway bar. They were shot so you would hit a bump and the sway bar would wack the frame. The next was in my one ton which I thought was the sway bar, then the loose shock bolt then finally figured out that it was the brake caliper, banging on the mount every time I would hit a bump. The 44 set ups are a little different but worth taking a look.

i had something simaler on my burb, combo of missing bumper suport bolt (i know)

and the springs, i think the clamp was damaged/gone (cant remember) and that made a nosie

My jack had worked itself loose under the hood on passenger fender....had me puzzled for a while!

:rotfl: :ignore: that happend to me too
I also had the cat converter rubbing on the frame from when the muff shop welded the exhaust on crooked. It only did it on large bumps.

yeah body mounts ae good, my neighbor and i were out there again tonight looking for something that we might have missed, and we studied the leaf pacs for a while and everything looks good. i have to admidt, my truck looks pretty clean, and maintained up front. like i stated before, theonly thing thats worn up front is the drag links, i grabbed ahold of them tonight and i could twist them back and forth with ease by hand, and if i did it really hard and fast they did make a little bit of "clanking" and or "thud" noise..but that can't be what i'm hearing and feeling..its much louder, and i can feel it in the floor board....and i dont have to be driving hard to make the noise, last weekend i hoped the curb and parked in a filed, and when i left i very, very slowly backed back off the curb onto the street, i did it purosofully slow, like i was dropping downa huge rock...and even supper slow it went clank thud clank pop....grrrr..

Then have someone drive over a curb while you're standing next to your truck to see if you can isolate the noise.

let someone else drive my truck?!!!

yeah i guess i should do that, funny how i never think of simple things like this...lol

Here's some more things to look for:

-You said the spring bushings are new, but have you checked them out lately? There was a problem for a while with the ORD bushings and they would crack apart. Mabe you have a bolt/sleeve hitting the frame.

-Motor mounts

-Shock bushings. I know you said they are tight, but I had a noise once that took me a long time to find. It turns out the bushings in the shocks were worn enough that on fast compression, the body of the shock touched the shock mount. I didn't figure it out until I unbolted the bottom of the shock and saw the shiny part on the bottom of the shock body, because I couldn't replicated just by pushing on stuff by hand.

-Upper shock mount: are they destroyed?

-front driveline. Is the slip yoke in the driveshaft shot? Is it bolted tightly to the flange on the T-case? Are you driving around with a broken front axleshaft?

-Exhaust hitting something?

I thought I mentioned this, but just saw that I didn't  but:

I know you said the shocks looked OK, but I'd unbolt them and check.. it's poss that one or even both are "shot" and have lost their charge. If that was the case, they would basically slap up and down, and could be the "clunck" you are hearring.

Hope ya find it..

i had this same problem and it turned out to be my battery and the oil cooler mounted behind my grille.

checked your radiator?

if it sounds as loud as you are describeing and you could feel it in the floor boards check your motor mounts.

other then that all i can guess is your tires are rubbing on ur fenders
