Having braved the long drive to corvalis oregon from sacramento and back in one weekend to go get a pair of CUCV axles,D60+14BFF, it leaves me with 2 axles i will have no use for. The front is a standard 10b-28 splines,3.73 gears,6k miles on new rotors, calipers, hub bearings and seals, and a set of warn premiums.nearly 300 invested
The rear is another 10 bolt with a twist.4k miles on sierra gear 30 spline shafts, detroit tru-trac, new 3.73 sierra gears, crush sleeve eliminator and new bearings throughout, and a speedi sleeve on the yolk for good leak free measure. around 750 invested . All work done by a reputable shop:
ME...............AAMCO.........by a certified tech....ME

Whats the worth.

welcome to the site.sorry you may have done a lot of work for not much return.they have a lot of work done to them, but most are trying to upgrade away from the 10 bolts as you have now done.you may get a good amount on craigslist from a jeep guy.this would be a good upgrade for a small truck,as you have fixed a lot of the weak points in the axles already.i would list them for what you have into them o.b.o. and see what happens.that rear will be worth much more to someone than the front for sure.good luck.

hit the jeep crowd with em...

or you could dis-assemble and sell the more expensive pieces you have in there on ebay or something.

I finally got $50 for a 8-lug front 10bolt. I almost scrapped it just because I was tired of moving it. I had it for sale, off and on for nearly a year. The funny thing is that I found it free on craigslist, and it came with a complete 8-lug D44HD in pieces. I made $150 out of the deal and kept the D44 housing and gears to swap into my truck.

You might luck out and find somebody to give you around $500 for them on Craigslist. Not everybody needs a set of 1 tons. I sold a set of 10 bolts that were stock 30 spline with 3.73's and Warn Premiums for $300.

i can't even give my old 10 bolts away. good luck!

now if you had the ultra rare 12 bolt....you'd be onto something there.:haha:

I had 460 in my 10/12 combo with lockrites and 3.73's. Sold them for 300 on craigslist...Without lockers, there worth about a 100 a piece.

I have stupid money is a set of 10 bolts. Infact I bought a whole K30 for less.

Just sold a 10 bolt front and 14 bolt semi-float for $300... Maybe could have got more but was happy to just unload it.

I got 50 bucks a piece for front's and rears

I sold my factory stock front 10 30 spline to a jeep guy for like $150 and a rear 10 bolt outta my tahoe for another $100. basically take what you can get and be patient if you want money

The fact that gears and lockers are being sold for 10-bolts means that somebody is upgrading them. You just have to find somebody who wants to upgrade and save them the labor charges for setting up the gears. So I would say their potential value is about the cost of the tru-trac and a set of gears. 3.73 is a decent gear for smaller tires. If they were 4.10 or 4.56 there would be a lot more demand, though.

solid advice gentlemen i think ill be lucky to re-coupe the money from the
tru-trac alone. crossover is gonna be a must so i need some return on the old ten bolts. i think ill post on craigslist, and see what happens:confused:

There are jeep guys who will buy 10 bolts, they just don't go for much. You may have better luck (and get more money) pulling the aftermarket and 8 lug stuff out and selling it seperate, then scrap the rest. That is what I am about to do with an 8 lug 10 bolt with 3.73 gears and warn premiums.
