what are yall runnin in the lift and tire category? did you have to hack to shove 'em under that lift? and pics of course...

Mike Dee

I didnt' have to hack, but, I am installing some Bushwacker cutouts that I'll need to do some trimming to install....

1984 K-5
4" lift
35x12.5 MTs
buildin a 400 for it, any info greatly appreciated

Out back I have the 4" ORD shackle flip and worn out 4" springs. Up front I have 6" Super lift and ORD heavy duty shackles. And if they ever show up (they are paid for they just have to get here) I will have 37" SSR's.

Well, Ive got what appears to be a 4" Superlift and 36" Swamper TSL's. I havent done any fender trimming and everything seems to work allright. I bought the truck with the lift so i dont really have any idea what it really is. There are pics on my page.

4" BDS lift with 35" tires... no trimming so far, but I'm sure I'll have to do a little when I get off-roading a little more aggressive (and wear out these tires so I gotta get the 37" ssr's like I want)

4" Rancho - 33's on a set of cheep steel rims, no fender trimming and not a bit of rub fully articulated. Still want to go bigger though! See pics below.

I'm running 4" Rancho susp lift (too stiff for my liking) a 1" ORD body lift and 36" TSL's on steel rims. I cut my fenders fairly agressively because i don't runa front sway bar so the tires will shred the fenders when I get all twisted up...

I've got a roughcountry 4" lift that is 2 months old er so...maybe a little older and 33's and I'm crinkleing fenders a little on the front. I'm gonna go 35's and will do some surgery to the fenders

4" Tuff Country HD lift (front and rear springs, rear with 1" Zero Rate add-a-leaf from ORD) on top of Dana 60 front (adds an inch so total of about a 5" lift), greasable shackle bushing bolts, 14BFF rear, shocked with RS9000's. 35x12.5x16 SSR's on 16x10 AE 589's (actual tire height is about 34.5"). Sits level.

Trimmed fenders but need more............crossed it up on a RTI ramp and still hit a little bit. Pics on my site below.

Thought you would like to know Rancho doesn't make a lift bigger than 4". They don't offer anything bigger because of liabillity concerns per there tech people.

I gots 6" pro comp front springs ,Springer shackle flip and F150 springs in the rear, 2" body lift, and no sway bar.I run 35-12.5s.I trimmed the fenders for a safe margin of clearance so I dont cut my tires.Theres a link to pics of it below.

wow, i feel really tall! I have 14" of lift ( 12" springs up front w/ 8" springs in the rear with a shackle flip, and a 2 in body lift) with 39" mickeys underneath. soon to be going to 42's though. later.

I have a 2 1/2 lift and 32" tires. When I removed my running boards, and put on rock sliders I will fit 33" no problem. I have the GM saggy butt so I am either going to with a shackle flip or the 1" add a leaf from ORD, and I'll probably put the extended shackles in the front and go with 33" BFG muds. I haven't cut my fenders, and don,t plan on it.

4" Skyjacker w/Rancho 5000's, 3" body and 38x12.50 TSL Swampers.

Gotta do some more trimming cause the Swamps make an awful racket when I flex out. "BADADADADADA!!!"

Poundin' the ol "pavment"!

6" superlift in front with shackle flip and 3" block in rear with
38.5x16.5 on 16.5x14
major hackage required and now the tires rub the firewall!!!!!!!
By the way im not running inner fenders!

4" Superlift with 33's here - someday to be 5" Deavers with 35's.

Special thanks to those lost from IAFF Locals 94 and 854 - You shall never be forgotten

Tuff country lift. 4" in the front, 6" in the back (so when the top was on it sat level). 35x12.50r15 Goodyear MTRs. Ne cutting, just let the tires clear the fenders. t only rubbed for the first time I went out then went away. The tires just pushed the fenders in a little, but didnt ruin them.

'87 K5,6" Skyjacker,3" body,39.5 Swampers..no problem with clearance. The EFI 454 likes to smoke the tires though.A '90 K5 might be a new addition to the family in the next couple of days.
