What are your projects for this upcoming winter?

1. Let the K5 sit under a blanket of snow all winter....and watch it rust away toward nothingness.

2. Wish I still had a workshop

3. Save money for a workshop.

insulate garage
build strong shelves and get all the trannies off the floor

Blazer:
install bearing/kingpin kits in the 60
paint 60
install disc kit on 14blt
install rear brake line on 14bolt
read up on disc swap so no surprises (hahahah riiiiight)
find prop. valve and some tools for lines.
install CUCV rear bumper and shackles

M715 monster
remove bed
assemble front clip from parts pile
mock up Buick455 installation
purchase cheap-as-hell BOP-to-GM trans adapter from Jeg's
measure for the TH400/Doubler I just bought
guesstimate where the 46's will hit on rear-steer and clearance.

so, plenty without a garage big enough to fit a truck into. :(

Buy 85 K5,
strip out all carpet,
buy roll-on bedliner and apply to entire floor,
replace drums and shoes
remove 4'' body lift
replace tired 35's with 37's and see how much I will have to trim with the 6'' susp. lift
fabricate cage for the front to hold at least 2 coolers and 8-10 rods

Finish this

Bed line the interior
Stainless steel dash
Stainless Steel rear inner fenders, tubbed out 3"
Wire harness
Exhaust

Blazer 11-17-05 002 (Medium).jpg

My winter projects are pretty limited because I have no place to work. Since this truck is in the pre-build up stage my goal is it get the truck overall to sound road worthiness. So I will tell you what my spring projects will be :D

1. Rebuild/ upgrade the steering on my truck
2. rebuild/upgrade the breaks on my truck (new lines included)
3 cut out rusted rockers on driver and passenger sides and put in a new ones
(We must fight the cancer of rust with all the might and power of new steel and modern chemistry)
4. Remove all of the half-a@@ wiring on my rig that is causing a short (done by the dumb a## who owned the truck before I bought it)
5. Install a new gauge cluster with factory tach.
6. Get a new HEI distributor and wires
7. Fix the wipers and motor
8. New shocks
9. Put in a radio and speakers correctly along with a CB

1) I really need to fix the leaky rear brake cyl (aka swap in Discs)
2) Wish I had a garage
3)Put in a 30+gallon fuel tank.
4) REALLY wish I had a garage.
5) A half-cab (out of an old K5 topper - Thanks RCURRIER :D ) I'm going to put onto the back of the pickup.
6) Really REALLY REALLY wish I had a garage.
