well i was toping off my coolant this morning and noticed a drip from my brake master cyl.

not a big deal, a couple hour job at worst. my calipers look good, and i will find out about the rear when i take it appart befor i start buying parts. most likely going to replace wheel clys just for cheap insurance.

can anyone tell me a good master cylindar to go with, or is any stock replacement good enough for a dd?

and since i have to bleed the system im going to put in longer front rubber lines can anyone tell me a good length to go with, i have a 4" lift, and they are short.

thanks
mike

Yes, you should stick with a stock replacement type master cylinder. If you start randomly popping in other ones you're likely to make things worse as the higher-capacity ones sometimes have different boosters (hydro- versus vacuum boost), etc. Trust me, I've been there, done that, and if you really want to know there's a thread where I did a whole picture set on the various masters available.

You can get a set of stainless braided front lines from Summit or ORD for a 4" lift. The exact type will depend on your calipers' banjo bolt, whether 3/8" or 10mm.

did a little pricing and decided im going to do calipers and wheel cylindars too. all my steel lines look good just need to get the longer in rear also.

x2 on ord braided line kit .

need a lot more specs on your rig to get good idea of what you might be able to upgrade to maybe .

Buy a new one (not the re-manufactured), unless you want to go through the bench bleeding process twice.

Don't ask me how I know :doah:

thanks for the tip, yeah i only want to do this once, bings as its a beautifull 25* out.

i just measured my current front brake lines, and they are from the frame to the caliper 19".

Especially if you're doing the front AND rear, just order the kit-for-4"-lift from ORD. It's *plenty* long and has all three in it.
