I am finishing up my vortec 350 engine swap in my 86 blazer. I got everythin hooked up and came to my cables, they are WAY too short! The throttle and kickdowncables need to be longer because the throttle on the new motor is on the pass. side, on the front of the motor, instead of the old center mounted driver side carb linkage. Does anyone know what cables to use, and how, since the vortec 350 did not have a 700r4 with a kick-down cable behind it originally.

I know the cables on my 87 are about a foot too long for the carb I swapped in. I believe advance auto's site lists the lengths of the cables. Go on there and play with the different years, 85 (carb) sbc vs bbc and 87(tbi) sbc vs bbc and see what is close to what you need.
