what carburetor?

is it normal to do that jet changes & all that? i want as simple of a setup when it comes to a carb as possible (whatever that is lol)

If you don't tune the carb expect 6 mpg and poor performance, there is no bolt on carb that will work correctly.

Hi have a 1986 K5: 350/700R4/33"
I pay a guy to rebuild my transmission and I have the problem that when I start using the truck every thing’s fine but after 10 minutes the transmission STOP working, I don’t know why, I wait 30 minutes and the transmission works again for another 10 minutes.
Any Idea
PLEASE HELP!!!

Is the transmission full of fluid?

Does the fluid smell like its burned?

What transmission cooler are you using?

A Qjet will.
Every time I rebuilt one I just adjusted it per the guide with the rebuild kit and it just runs great.
Now there are some guys that know the Qjet better and know what to do to it to make it run better and still it has nothing to do with the engine.
As long as it stock or close to stock, it will work.
The Holley and Edelbrocks are another story, never seen one run good out of the box.

The transmission fluid level is OK

It doesn't smell like burned

about the transmission cooler I don't know (sorry) but before install the transmission i send the radiator to service

I'm using only quaker atf (something like 12 liters) and add a bottle of red lube guard

Thanks
