hi

what 12" clutch brand is better to use with a 454 and SM465
the engine should make around 400hp/450 torque
and the truck is used in sand dunes and street

thanks

I run a Luk Pro-Gold in my 454/465 setup. Never have any issues, I only have about 1K miles on the 454 & clutch assy. but so far I'm lovin it! Most all thoes miles are off road too, dirt/rocks & sand = Pismo :D

I use to run a centerforceII with my 350 that worked fine too, when I pulled it out I did find some good heat marks or burns :doah: worked good tho...

I had a Center Force 2 clutch given to me years ago. Brand new in the box...Ended up using it in the old truggy. Anyways, under the red Center Force paint, I found a LuK logo believe it or not. The only difference between it and a LuK clutch was the weights on the diaphragm.

That said, I used a Zoom clutch from Summit behind the 454 in my old K20. It made 350hp and 490 tq. (desk top dyno numbers) Didn't have any problems from it. :wink1:
