One is Hugger Orange, and the other is Black. I like lighter colors(not black) due to the ease of spotting things like header and oil leaks. Machine shop painted the heads on my 383 for me and i don't feel like changing their color. May make the block some other color yet though.

you're quick, man. you posted before i could even get my poll up! hmm. that came out kinda funny.

I forgot, I have a naked motor too. Man is that thing Rusty. Dad insisted it stay bare metal. Wanted to have the engine be a bit of a sleeper, who would suspect power from a big rusty block? Shame to do to a couple thousand dollar race engine IMO....

The 6.2 currently in my GMC is OIL colored...ask Kert and stomper about it
400 going in is GM orange

the 71s 350 is GM orange

my 86s 6.2 is black and my blazer is...well actually I dont know you cant really see the motor to many damn computer stuff

I had corporate blue paint laying around so i used it on my 350 that i just threw in. Headers we're rusty so i blasted em and painted them black.

black painted and covered in oil and grease. You should have included a catagory for grease color.

i meant to include space for oil and brown, but ran out of room - other things took priority, like pink. i wanna see that pink motor - maybe the purple one too. ;)

Silver-ish gray, from a couple feet believe me when I say:

" O' yeah it's all Aluminum" :haha:

Jeff

I think all of mine are blue''I have too many to keep track of'' exept one orange block with blue heads.they all have crome valve covers and aluminum intakes w/rusty exaust manifolds

If you like the nekkid look but dont care for rust Use Dupli - color's " cast iron " hi - temp paint. Looks like fresh iron just more shinier. Another thing I do 'cause I kinda like the " natural " look is I wire wheel things like my t- stadt housing and I paint them clear.
